RESET:
The modulus counter submodule (MCSM) is an enhancement of the free-running
counter. A modulus register gives the additional flexibility of recycling the counter at a
count other than 64K clock cycles. The state of the modulus register is transferred to
the counter under three conditions:
Software can also write a value to the modulus register for later loading into the
counter with one of the two first criteria. A block diagram of the MCSM is shown in
ure
