Figures 18.2 and 18.3 show example connections of USB function controller and external circuit.
When the USB function controller is used, a signal must be provided to the cable connection
monitor pin (USB_VSBUS). The USB_VBUS pin is multiplexed with the USB_OVR_CRNT
pin, and writing 0 to USBFSTP and 1 to USBHSTP in EXCPGCR register selects the
USB_VBUS pin functions. According to the status of the USB_VBUS pin, the USB function
controller recognizes whether the cable is connected/disconnected. Also, pin D+ must be pulled up
in order to notify the USB host/hub that the connection is established. The sample circuits in
figures 18.2 and 18.3 use the USB_PULLUP pin for pull-up control.
