The INCA-D supports up to three channels simultaneously for data transfer (refer also to
Chapter 17.1.7). If only two channels are used, then both the coding (PCM A-law, PCM
programmed individually. The INCA-D supports a third channel by simply splitting the
second 16 bit channel into two 8 bit channels.Therefore the following restriction occurs
for channel 2 and 3 in this case:
• Channel two as well as three must use 8 bit coding (8 bit linear, A-law or -law)
To enable the channel splitting, bit CDICHN2:CS must be set and bit CDICHN2:PCM
cleared. The selection of bit CDICHN2:PCD holds then for both channels.
