Precautions
(1) The S5U1C33104H emulation memory is configured according to the contents of the debugger parameter
(2) All the S5U1C33104H functions can be used even if the S5U1C33104H is only connected to the COM port
(3) The S5U1C33104H is shipped with the firmware Ver. 1. It can be used with the Debugger db33 in this
(4) Refer to the "S1C33 Family In-Circuit Emulator Manual" for more information on the S5U1C33104H.
3.3.2 Debug Monitor S5U1C330M2S
The Debug Monitor S5U1C330M2S is a middleware designed for S1C33 Family single-chip microcomputers. It
provides program-debugging functions on the user target board or S5U1C33xxxD boards. By connecting the
board in which S5U1C330M2S has been implemented to the personal computer via the S5U1C330M1D1 board,
the program can be debugged using the Debugger db33. This section explains how to debug the program using
the S5U1C33104D1/S5U1C33209D1 board in which S5U1C330M2S has been implemented as a development
tool.

using the RS232C cable. The parallel cable should be used to connect the S5U1C33104H to the LPT port
when high-speed file downloading is required. The following shows the typical downloading speed of the
different ports (the values may vary according to the PC used and operating conditions).

package. However, the firmware Ver. 1 does not support writing to the flash memory on the target board
(fls, fle), hardware PC break 2 (bh2, bhc2) and memory copy in half word and word units (mvh, mvw). If
these functions are required, update the ICE firmware using the program located in the
"cc33\utility\ice33v20\" directory.
Figure 3.3.2.1 shows the debugging system configuration using the S5U1C33104D1/S5U1C33209D1
board.
The following sample programs are provided to check the system operation:
For S5U1C33104D1 board: "\cc33\sample\dmt33004\led.srf"
For S5U1C33209D1 board: "\cc33\sample\dmt33005\led.srf"
These programs blink the LED on the S5U1C33xxxD board. "led.srf" and "led2.srf" are created to be able
to debug in the RAM (0x600000~) and in the Flash memory (0x200000~), respectively.
For the contents of the program, refer to the source file (led.s) in the directory.
It is not necessary to execute Make when modification of the source is not needed since the executable
object files ("led.srf," "led2.srf") are provided. When the source is modified, execute Make using the make
file provided in the directory.
