Opening and closing the window
When the [Memory] window is closed, it can be opened by choosing the [Memory] command from the
[Window] menu. Two or more [Memory] windows can be opened simultaneously.
To close the window, click on the close box of the window.
Changing display format and display start address
To change using a command
Execute the db, dh or dw command as explained earlier. These commands can also be used to specify the
display start address.
To change using a popup menu
Rewriting memory data
Move the cursor to the position immediately preceding the data to be changed by clicking in the window or
using the arrow keys. Then enter hexadecimal data (or ASCII characters for the ascii field). The data will be
changed, and the cursor will move to the next data, allowing data to be input successively. However, the
backspace and delete keys cannot be used. If incorrect data is entered, move the cursor back and enter the
correct data.
Updating display contents
Even if the memory contents are modified by a command (e, f, or mv), the contents displayed in the
[Memory] window are not updated at that point in time. The contents displayed in the [Memory] window
are cleared when a file is loaded (lf, lh or lfl command).
To bring up the latest content on the screen, perform one of the following operations:
1. Execute one of the db, dh or dw commands.
2. Click on the window.
The [Memory] window while the program is being executed (g, s, or n) is updated when a break occurs or
every step. (default)
EPSON
Clicking the right mouse button in the [Memory] window
brings up a popup menu. Select the desired data size from
the menu, and the window’s display format will be
changed.
Select [Addr] from the popup menu, and a dialog box will
be displayed. Enter the display start address in the text box,
select the display format using the radio buttons, and click
the [OK] button. Specification of the start address may be
omitted. When omitted, the data display range in the
[Memory] window is not changed.
This dialog box can also be brought up by double-clicking
on the [Memory] window.
