Chapter 2 Installation
This chapter describes the required working environments for the tools supplied in the S1C33 Family C Compiler
Package and their installation methods.
2.1 Working Environment
To use the S1C33 Family C Compiler Package, the following conditions are necessary:
Personal computer
Display
Hard drive
CD-ROM drive
Mouse
Debugging tool
System software

An IBM PC/AT or a compatible machine which is equipped with a CPU equal to or better than a Pentium
90 MHz, and 32MB or more of memory is recommended.
To use the optional In-Circuit Emulator S5U1C33104H or In-Circuit Debugger S5U1C33000H, the
personal computer also requires a serial port (with a D-sub 9 pin) and a parallel port (D-sub 25 pin). When
using the Debug Monitor S5U1C330M2S with the S5U1C330M1D1 board, only a serial port (with a D-sub
9 pin) is required.
A display unit capable of displaying 800
The hard drive must have at least 10MB of empty space to install the S1C33 Family C Compiler Package.
Since the installation is done from a CD-ROM, a CD-ROM drive is required.
A mouse is necessary to operate the tools.
To debug the program and the target system, the optional In-Circuit Emulator (S5U1C33104H), In-Circuit
Debugger (S5U1C33000H), or Debug Monitor (S5U1C330M2S and S5U1C330M1D1) is needed in
addition to this software package.
The S1C33 Family C Compiler Package supports Microsoft Windows 95, Windows NT 4.0 or higher
version (English or Japanese version).
Please go through the precautions and restrictions given in "readmeVxx.txt" (English, Japanese) (xx
indicates version) on the disk.
