This section describes the different kinds of Media Independent Interface (MII)
supported.
9.3.2.1
A digital transceiver configured as a MAC that uses MII to interface to a PHY is common
in CPE units in which the digital transceiver interfaces between the VDSL link using the
AFE, and the local Ethernet link using an Ethernet PHY. This MII interface is compatible
with the IEEE 802.3 standard.
