Register 0x600H: TAPI Control Register
The Control Register is used to set TAPI-12 mode. The Control Register is also used to enable the
TAPI-12.

MODE
The no TPA mask mode bit (NO_TPA_MASK) is used to disable TPA masking that occurs
when data on a channel is being received at the same time this channel is being polled. When
NO_TPA_MASK=0 and an attempt is made to poll an Any-PHY channel for which the TAPI
is in the process of receiving a burst data transfer, TAPI will mask the poll response for that
polled channel by returning a response of ‘0’ (i.e. no space available). When
NO_TPA_MASK=1, poll masking is disabled.
The single poll response bit (ONE_TPA) enables a mode of operation in which poll responses
for the high and low priority queues are combined on one output pin. When ONE_TPA is set
high, TPA_LO indicates the fill status of both high and low priority queues (TPA_LO is high
only if both queues have space available) and TPA_HI is undefined.
The mode bit (MODE) is used to configure operating modes of TAPI-12. When MODE is set
high, TAPI-12 operates in non-blocking mode; that is, TAPI-12 will only deassert TRDY if it
cannot accept 64 bytes (1 FIFO block) of data. When MODE is set low, TAPI-12 operates in
blocking mode; that is, TAPI-12 will deassert TRDY if the free space in the circular FIFO is
less than the data transfer burst length when TSX is sampled high. This bit should always be
set to a 0 for guaranteed operation.
