When you set the Output Format bit (Group 4, APR 12) to 0 (Serial
Channel Output Mode), the L64704 outputs data bit serially on CO[0].
The L64704 outputs new data one bit per cycle of OCLK (see
Figure
overlaps the first message bit of a Reed-Solomon code word.
When you set the OF bit to 1 (Parallel Channel Output Mode), the
L64704 outputs one new data byte on CO[7:0] every eight OCLK cycles
