One of two different metering methods may be specified:

To satisfy worldwide application requirements, SLICOFI-2/-2S offers integrated metering
injection of either 12 or 16 kHz signals with programmable amplitudes. SLICOFI-2/-2S
also has an integrated adaptive TTX notch filter and can switch the TTX signal to the line
in a smooth way. When switching the signal to the line, the switching noise is less than
1 mV.

external components for filtering TTX bursts are required.
