[Practical combination examples]
To use the on-chip (internal) power supply only, set

To use the voltage booster circuit only, set (D2,D1,D0)=(1,0,0).
To use the voltage regulator and voltage follower, set
(D2,D1,D0)=(0,1,1).
To use an external power supply only, set (D2,D1,D0)=(0,0,0).
