To ensure software backward compatibility unused or reserved bits
must be written as zeros and ignored upon read.

Changed upon functional revision, like new feature added to
previous revision

improvement.
Encoded as: Aperture size = 4K*(bit_value+1).
The bit value is reset to 0 meaning a 4K aperture for the Global
register 1 module according to the formula above.
