Editing the SESHELL.INI File
The user may wish to change the operation of SESHELL by editing the INI file. Always make a
backup copy of the file before editing it in case of error. The SESHELL.INI file must be saved as
an ASCII Text file. The following rules must be followed while altering the SESHELL.INI file:
not:
Following is an example of the format of a program entry in the SESHELL.INI file:
The “program” directive contains the name of the executable file.
The “cmdline” directive contains the path, the program name, and the command line arguments. If
the program locates in the same directory of the SESHELL, the path is not needed. A maximum
of four arguments are passed to the utility program. Any further arguments specified with the
“cmdline” directive are ignored.
Setting “dosshell” to yes causes SESHELL to load a DOS shell (or command line) after running
the specified utility.
Setting the “keeptsr” directive to “YES” allows the program to be loaded as a Terminate-and-Stay-
Resident program. However, the TSR program will be removed from resident memory on exiting
SESHELL.
The line length of the help text should not exceed 50 characters so that it will fit in the Description
Window.
