The following table lists all valid contiguous concatenation settings:
Each AUG-1 time slot that is not part of a contiguous concatenated container, can
independently be configured to consist of a single VC-4/STS-3c SPE or three VC-3/STS-1’s
SPE. A Has_AU3 register per AUG-1 time slot determines the structure of that time slot.
In STM-1/OC-3 mode each line interface transports a single AUG-1. With the Has_AU3
register each AUG-1 can independently be configured to consist of a single VC-4/STS-3c
SPE or three VC-3/STS-1’s SPE. In STM-1/OC-3 mode, it is mandatory that the
TimeSlotIsConcatenated registers are set to the default master mode.
The PHAST-12P system interface operates either in UTOPIA Level 2 mode or in POS-PHY
level 2 mode. The configuration of the receive and transmit system side interface is
independent.
The PHAST-12P’s internal Transmit Clock synthesizer generates, using a selectable Tx
timebase, a high-speed Transmit Clock, running at 622.08 MHz.
The System Clock, running at 77.76 MHz, is a divided-down version of this high-speed
Transmit Clock.
