5.7 VIDEO ACCELERATOR (VA)
5.7.1 Overview
Display Controller controls the display timing and data to meet the requirements of display
devices. The display controller of W90221X supports RGB monitor output and S-Video, RCA-
style composite TV output. Pseudo color and high-color mode are used for graphics data. The
pseudo color modes include 4-clor, 16-color and 256-color mode, while the high color mode is
565. Furthermore, W90221X supports the opaque function to save data bandwidth. This
Display Controller includes the following modules to complete its functions: FIFO and Flicker-
Free filter, Color Space Conversion, Overlay Control, Tune, CRTC, WIN-KEY, TV-Encoder
