DETERMINING THE VERSION OF THE ADE7518
The ADE7518 holds in its internal flash registers a value that
defines its version. This value helps to determine if users have the
latest version of the part. The ADE7518 version corresponding to
this data sheet is ADE7518V3.4.

To access this value, the following procedure can be followed:

Launch HyperTerminal with a 9600 baud rate.
Put the part in serial download mode by first holding
SDEN to logic low and then resetting the part.
Hold the SDEN pin.
Press and release the RESET pin.
The following string should appear on the HyperTerminal
screen: ADE7518V3.4
