The user’s receive FIFO handler has to run the following procedure
assuming the FIFO is not empty:
Unlocking an empty FIFO does not increment the GETIDX and does not
set the FIFO empty flag.

lock the FIFO buffer by setting the LOCK bit of buffer 0, the buffer
with the oldest unaccessed message, addressed by GETIDX,
appears in the memory map
copy over the message
unlock the FIFO buffer, the GETIDX will be incremented
