Introduction
The DALI Communication Module (DCM) is a serial communication circuit designed for
controllable electronic ballasts. Ballasts are the devices used to provide the required starting
voltage and operating current for fluorescent, mercury, or other electric-discharge lamps.
The DCM supports the DALI (Digital Addressable Lighting Interface) communications
standard (IEC standard).

The 4-bit preshift register is always active, except when in Halt mode or if the DCME bit = 0.
