Begin the second row of cells by hot-gluing long tabbed cells into cavities 8, 7, and 6. Note that the
tabbing wires are pointing toward and overlapping the cells to their right, as shown in Figure 29.
Next, install a short tabbed cell into cavity #5. All of the tabbing wires should be pointing to the
right, and the short tabbed cell in cavity #5 should have its wires overlap the bus-bar in groove “E”.
See Figure 29.
Apply flux and solder the tabbing wires across the tops of the cells, just as we did above, and then
solder the short tabbed cell in cavity #5 to the bus-bar in groove “E”.
Cut two 5.25” tabbing wires and solder them to the bus-bar in groove “B,” and then lay them across
the top of the cell in cavity #8, and solder. Don’t forget to use flux across not only the top of the
cells, but also the top of the tabbing wires. Your panel should now look like Figure 30.
