vicinity integrated circuit card or VICC (M24LR16E-R) takes place as follows:

Power is transferred to the M24LR16E-R by radio frequency at 13.56 MHz via coupling
antennas in the M24LR16E-R and the VCD. The RF operating field of the VCD is
transformed on the M24LR16E-R antenna to an AC voltage which is rectified, filtered and
internally regulated.
During communications, the amplitude modulation (ASK) on this received signal is
demodulated by the ASK demodulator.
