Non Polling Receive API Configuration
This section/option dictates which method of Receive API is implemented by the MultiModem iSMS
server (how SMS Messages received from the cellular network are handled).There are two methods:
A) Polling: the received SMS will be left in our Receive SMS queue until your application queries for it
B) Non Polling: Upon reception, the MultiModem iSMS server will POST the message to your WEB
When the "Non Polling Receive API Status" checkbox is NOT checked, polling is enabled (see previous
screen shot). When polling is enabled, perform the query on the HTTP Port number defined in the
HTTP API Configuration section/menu.

Click the Save button for each section after making changes. Navigating away from this page will not
store any changes that have not been saved.

Non Polling Receive API Status
Check this box to enable non-polling API status when receiving messages. This will change the SMS
API section as shown below. When this is not checked, Receive API Polling is enabled. Receive API
Polling is the default.
Protocol
Select the protocol that you will use: HTTP or TCP.
Server
Enter the resolvable name or IP address of the server to be used.
Port
Enter the port number for accessing the server.
Server Default Page
Enter the default page for the server to use.
Server Authentication
Check this box if you want to authenticate to the server. Below you can enter the username and
password that will allow access.
Username
Enter the username to be used for authentication.
Password
Enter the password associated with the above username.
Post Interval
Enter the number of seconds for the post interval.
