Basic setup of the MultiModem iSMS Application Program Interface is performed here.
HTTP API and TCP API are Send SMS APIs (for sending SMS messages to mobile endpoints on the
cellular network). Both methods can be enabled and utilized simultaneously.
SMS Messages received from the cellular network are handled by our Receive API process.
Note:
HTTP API Configuration
IP enabled applications external to the MultiModem iSMS can submit messages for sending by using
HTTP protocol Get and POST commands.
TCP API Configuration
IP enabled applications external to the MultiModem iSMS can submit messages for sending by using
this product specific command protocol. See Appendix A for more details.
HTTP API Status
Check the box to enable the HTTP API service.
HTTP Port
Enter the port number on which the HTTP API service is to listen on. It is recommended this port
be different from what the WEB Management Interface uses. The default is 81.
Save
Click the Save button.
TCP API Status
Check the box to enable TCP API service. This is necessary for units participating in load balancing.
TCP Port
Enter the port number on which the TCP API service is to listen on. The default is 2040.
Save
Click the Save button.
