Emulator operation
The emulator is operated from a host PC using STVD7, a state-of-the-art,
integrated development environment, from which you can configure and control
the emulator, debug, edit and rebuild your application program.
on page 27, explains how to install STVD7 on your PC, and set up the emulator
configuration so that you can begin your development session.
Through STVD7, your application software is downloaded into the emulator. The
emulator performs a real-time emulation of the target device, thus allowing high
performance testing and debugging of both application hardware and software.
When the program is fully debugged, the ST7 EPROM programming board
(ref.: ST7MDTU2-EPB2 — not provided with this emulator kit) can be used to
