The diagram below illustrates the internal architecture of the Quantum safety
discrete input module 140 SDI 953 00S.
Each input channel uses a unique interface circuit and 2 independent inputs.
The safety function of input module 140 SDI 953 00S is to help ensure the state of
the module inputs, when these are usable, is transmitted to the Quantum safety PLC
processor, within a specified period.
The global mechanism is designed so that whenever this transmission would be
impossible, the Quantum CPU would be informed of it and would take the safety
measures defined in its application.
