Power Consumption
The c 5 V logic power supply for the I/O modules is provided by the following
modules:
b NIM network interface module placed at the beginning of the primary segment.
b BOS bus extension module placed at the beginning of each extension segment.
b CPS auxiliary power supply placed within a segment.
The NIM, BOS and CPS modules use their c 24 V power supply to deliver a
maximum current of 1200 mA at a voltage of c 5 V.
The power consumption per segment must be calculated to ensure that the current
demanded by the I/O modules does not exceed the current supplied by the different
power supply modules.
If necessary, add an auxiliary power supply STB CPS 2111 in the segment(s)
concerned.
For each segment:
b In the “Number” column indicate the required number of I/O modules for each
reference.
b In the “Total” column calculate the total current based on that number.

b The grand total in box
