Description
Sets the backspace character. S-register S5
contains the value of the character for a back-
space. This character moves the cursor left on a
command line, deleting the previous character.
Delays to wait before performing a blind dial.
S-register
delay after going OFF-HOOK before blind
dialing (dialing without waiting for a DIAL tone).
The delay enables the central telephone office to
detect that the modem has gone OFF-HOOK and
issued a DIAL tone on the line. This delay only
applies to the initial DIAL tone. The delay occurs
only if X0 , X1 , or X3 is selected.
The D command's W dial modifier applies only to
detection of a DIAL tone at a later time and is not
affected by the value of S6.
