Description 12
When an operand to the Crunch add/subtract unit is denormalized, it is forced to zero before input to the
calculation. The sign is unaffected. This affects the following instructions:
When the operand is negative zero, cfcpys and cfcpyd write positive zero to the destination register, while
the result should be negative zero.
When the operand is positive zero, cfnegs and cfnegd write positive zero to the destination register, while
the result should be negative zero.
Workaround
None.
Description 13
The operation cfcvtds, which converts a double floating point value to a single floating point value, never
produces a denormalized result, even if the value can be accurately represented as such. The result
underflows directly to zero. Sign is preserved properly, however.
Workaround
None.
