Low battery detection
Dependant on hardware configuration, switch-over to USB power supply is supported, to allow the device to operate with low
batteries or without batteries, when connected to USB.
Full USB compliance requirements are listed in the USB specification, however, in a camera designed using this chipset, the
following must at least be included: (a) an SDRAM with sufficiently low self-refresh current, (b) USB inrush protection circuitry,
and (c) (in the case of VV6444 only) a switched 5V sensor supply is used, to maintain sufficient supply voltage to the 5V
sensor. See Section 9. for further details.
High speed picture download over USB
ST Colour processing algorithms available under license (as part of drivers/SDK)
USB or RS232 serial interface options, and VfW / TWAIN driver support.
Customisation of STV0680A is possible to vary the features described in this document, subject to commercial agreement
with ST, see Section 6.
