3.3 Mask Data Checker (mdc88112)
3.3.1 Outline of mdc88112
The mdc88112 mask data checker is a software tool
that checks the format of the program data
(c8112xxx.psa) that the unused area of the built-in
ROM is filled with FFH by fil88112 and option data
(c8112xxx.fdc) created by the user and creates the
data file (c8112xxx.pan) for generating mask
patterns. The user must send the file generated
through this software tool to Seiko Epson.
Moreover, mdc88112 has the capability to restore
the generated data file (c8112xxx.pan) to the
original file format (c8112xxx.usa and
c8112xxx.ufd).

Prepare the program data HEX file generated
from the program unused area filling utility
(fil88112).
(c8112xxx.fdc)
Prepare the function option data file generated
from the function option generator (fog88112).
Using the mask data checker (mdc88112),
compile the program data HEX file and func-
tion option document file in one data file for
masking (c8112xxx.pan). This file must be sent
to Seiko Epson.
The data file for masking (c8112xxx.pan)
generated by packing processing can be
restored to the original program data HEX file
and function option document file using the
mask data checker (mdc88112).
xxx part of the file name, it should be as
designated by Seiko Epson.
