First the momentary push-button switch 'PB' is pressed (and held), at which point the
battery voltage is detected, and if above the threshold, the MOSFET is turned ON,
providing power supply to the application. If the battery voltage is below the threshold,
the MOSFET will remain OFF.
Assuming the battery voltage is above the threshold, after some delay, the controller
begins to drive 'PS
