This section describes the method used to test the communication through a
wireless medium. Any terminal (serial) communication software can be used.
For example HyperTerminal
(found under Start>Programs>Accessories>Communications>HyperTerminal
menu).
There are several parameters in your terminal software that you will need to
set:
The board supply current can be delivered by the external AC/DC converter or
9-V battery.
Perform the following steps to connect the RF-08 board cables:
There are several ways to handle the RF connections. The most typical are:
1. HyperTerminal is a registered trademark of Hilgraeve Inc.
1. Connect the serial extension cable to the selected serial port of the host
2. Connect the other end of the serial extension cable to J2 on the RF-08
3. Connect the power supply plug into an AC power source or 9-V battery.
4. Follow the steps 1 to 3 for the second RF-08 board.
