3. Software Installation
The software supplied with this kit requires a Windows™ based PC running Windows 2000™ or Windows XP™.
There are no known compatibility issues.
The Si3452 evaluation kit includes a USB to SMBus adapter, which needs a windows driver to function properly.
Once the driver is installed, the GUI itself must be installed. Follow these steps for driver and GUI installation.
Uninstall instructions are provided in the appendix of this document.

3.1. USB to I
C Driver Installation
From the supplied disk, run the USB_I2C_Preinstaller.exe in the “USB I2C driver” directory of the CD ROM. When
the WHQL warning appears, press "Continue Anyway". After installation is complete, plug the USB to SMBus
adapter into any USB port. A New Hardware wizard will appear and ask whether Windows can connect to Windows
Update to search for software. Select "No, not this time", and click “Next”.

Select “Install the software automatically (Recommended)”, and click “Next” to continue.
