These low capacitance, low leakage current
devices provide superior performance in low
voltage high speed applications and assist
designers in protecting equipment from
surge events while maximizing circuit per-
formance.
These Thyristor Surge Protection
devices prevent overvoltage damage to
sensitive circuits by lightening, induction
and power line crossing. They are
breakover triggered crowbar protectors
with turn off occurring when the surge
current falls below the holding current
value.
The NP−VLV series of Low Capacitance
Thyristor Surge Protection Devices
(TSPD) protect sensitive electronic
equipment from transient overvoltage
conditions. Their low turn on voltage al-
lows them to replace much larger TVS
devices of the same surge rating.
