General Return Policy
General Return
Requests for Authorization to return Kroy merchandise must be made to the Kroy Customer Support Department
in Cleveland, Ohio. Approved returns are to be accompanied by a Return Materials Authorization number (RMA
number) clearly marked on the outside of all packages. To expedite processing, Kroy’s customer service depart-
ment will forward a Kroy Return Identification Label for this purpose. This number will only be issued by Kroy's
Customer Support Department. Only authorized returns displaying an RMA number on the outside of its package
will be accepted at Kroy's factory. Handling fees, freight, and transportation charges are to be prepaid.
All authorized returns will be assessed a 15% restocking fee. This fee for service will be based on the invoice
amount of the returned merchandise. The restocking fee will not apply if returned merchandise is replaced
immediately with like-product. A replacement of like-product will be invoiced and sent to customer. Freight
charges will be paid by Kroy and added to the customer's bill.
Requests to return Kroy merchandise must be made within thirty (30) days of invoice date and received by Kroy
within sixty (60) days of invoice date. Failure to conform to this timetable will constitute forfeiture of the return priv-
ilege. Discontinued merchandise, special order merchandise, seasonal merchandise, and promotional merchan-
dise will not be accepted for return.
Kroy merchandise is expected to be returned in original factory packaging, free from any markings and labels,
with all components,materials and packing intact. Credit will be reduced for any components missing from
machine packages (i.e. batteries, battery chargers, power cords, manuals etc.). Opened and/or used prod-
ucts will be deemed unacceptable and returned at shipper’s expense. .
Defective Merchandise
All defective Kroy merchandise returns require an RMA number and are subject to verification for defect.
Defective tape cartridges should be returned to Kroy with an explanation of the defects discovered in each car-
tridge (tape binding, voids, ribbon rewind, not feeding, etc.). These explanations are helpful to maintain constant
improvement in Kroy manufacturing.
Expired tape cartridges, discontinued Kroy products, empty cartridges, and untested defective tape cartridges will
not be accepted by Kroy as defective.
Note: Please verify that the customer's machine is cleaned and properly maintained (print pad, cut blade, wire
guides, thermal head, drive roller, and print roller should be evaluated). These parts will have significant influence
on optimum print quality.
Kroy reserves the right to discontinue return privileges to any reseller or customer who engages in excessive or
unauthorized return transactions. Questions regarding Kroy's Return Policy should be directed to Corporate Kroy
Sales Managers or Customer Support Representatives.
