The AS-Interface E-stop contact block is a slave for the AS-I fieldbus system. It is designed for the standard address
range and meets the AS-I profile S-7.B.E (safety slave with max. 4 input / 4 output lines). Up to 30 of these contact blocks
can be linked to one AS-I line, the 31
fer of the E-stops switching position signal. The (not safe) output line is used to control the lamp in the E-stop or for an
external signal lamp (option).
The coupling contact is an additional safety feature. It supervises the coupling between E-stop actuator and contact block
and informs the AS-I bus, when this connection is interrupted.
