Programmable IR Sensor Interface
The MLX90313 is a versatile in-circuit
programmable interface, which performs signal
conditioning, linearisation and ambient
temperature compensation, particularly for
infrared sensors combined with a thermistor.
Other types of sensors can also be used in
various configurations. Sensors that can be used
include pressure sensors, strain gauges,
acceleration sensors etc.
The amplifier chains in MLX90313 are
programmable in very broad ranges of gain.
Both chains consist of high performance,
chopper-stabilized amplifiers, providing excellent
noise performance and low offset. The I/O
configuration as well as analog settings are in-
circuit programmable by means of the SPI-serial
interface. This serial link can also be used to
read out the output signals digitally. The circuit
can either provide linear analog or PWM (Pulse
Width Modulated) signal outputs. Additional the
circuit can perform simple control applications
using on-board comparators
-40C to 125C Automotive
