Crimping tools
After stripping, appropriate contacts or
wire end ferrules can be crimped to the
cable end. It is not all that long ago that a
secure connection between the conductor
and contact was still achieved by solder-
ing. “Crimping” has now been substituted
extensively for this method.
“Crimping” means the creation of a uni-
form, unbreakable connection between the
conductor and the connecting element.
This is to be achieved exclusively by the
use of high quality precision tools. The
result is an electrically and mechanically
secure connection.
