Battery Replacement: The 340 will display battery symbol when the
internal 9 Volt battery needs replacement. Replace battery as follows:

Disconnect and remove all temperature probes from 340.
Loosen the 4 screws from the back of the 340.
Remove the back cover.
Remove old battery and replace it with new battery.
Reassemble instrument in reverse order from above.
