Note : the demo board operates with two dry cell 1.5V , AA type, battery. The mechanical switch S1 is used to power
(ON/OFF) the converter. The system is not designed to run with an external power sources activated simultaneously and such
parallel connection must be avoided. However, using an external power supply is possible if the two AA batteries are removed
from the battery holder. In this case, the output supply voltage must be limited to the specified 2.85V – 5.5V operating range
(see NCP5604 data sheet).
Dry cell battery set-up:
1 - Insert two 1.5V, AA type cell in the holder. Make sure the polarity is properly respected
System operation :
1 - Turn ON the battery supply : toggle switch S1
2 - Set up the two jumpers ( S2 & S3 ) to select the mode of operation:
3 - The brightness of the LEDs can be adjusted by means of the potentiometer P1 when the PWM is activated.
S2 : activate / de-activate the NCP5604 ( connect EN pin to either Vbat or GND)
S3 : activate / de-activate the PWM operation. The LED diode D5 is ON when the PWM is activated.
