Automatic Data Protection
OmniSmart UPS Systems save your data during
a blackout, even when you aren’t there! Each
model features a built-in serial port which
connects the OmniSmart to any PC, workstation
or server. Use with FREE PowerAlert Software
and cabling to automatically save your open files
and shut down equipment during a blackout.
When the power fails, PowerAlert waits for a
user-specified length of time, then saves your
active data files first, before closing application
and operating system software. This preserves
all of your work, regardless of the last time your
files were saved. After PowerAlert shuts down
your equipment, the UPS automatically shuts
down to conserve battery power.
