The USB2-H-1002 uses five LEDs to indicate a valid link as well as data traffic according to the following

1.3.1 Block description
USB miniB Client Connector
This connector provides the interface for connection to a USB Host or Hub port. A USB-A to USB-miniB
cable is provided, though one of a different length may also be used. The maximum cable length is 5
meters, according to the USB 2.0 specification.
FTDI FT2232H
The FTDI FT2232H provides the Hi-Speed USB-to-Serial conversion. Operating system device drivers are
required in order to work with the FT2232H to provide dual Virtual COM Port serial functionality.
