Single/Dual/Quad, 400MHz, Low-Power,
Current Feedback Amplifiers
The MAX4112/MAX4113/MAX4117–MAX4120 are opti-
mized for AC performance. They are not designed to
drive highly capacitive loads. Reactive loads decrease
phase margin and can produce excessive ringing and
oscillation. Figure 5a shows a circuit that eliminates this
problem. The small (usually 5Ω to 22Ω) isolation resis-
tor, R
ing and oscillation. At higher capacitive loads, AC
performance is controlled by the interaction of the load
capacitance and isolation resistor.
