6.0 SRAM BUFFER OPERATION
6.1 RECEIVE & TRANSMIT PAGE FORMAT
SRAM Map consists a total of 8K bytes memory which is divided equally into 4 pages. Each Page is 12K
bytes; there are three received pages and one transmit page. The Receive buffer uses a Buffer Ring
Structure comprised of three ontiguous 2K-byte buffers, Page 0-2, for storage of received packet.
The first two bytes of each Receive Page is used to store the receive status. Byte0 contains Receive Byte
Count--Countbit[7:0]; while byte1 contains various information as follows:
The first word if the Transmit Page contains the transmit byte count information with byte0--Countbit[7:0]
and byte 1[3:0]--Countbit[11:8].
