The M68HC908KX Family has an internal clock generator (ICG) module. This allows a very effective
implementation of the bootloader without a crystal.
The on-chip FLASH programming routines simplify the bootloader and improve memory use. The
communication between the MCU and PC uses a standard serial channel (SCI).
