BU6930FV and the new BU6929FV offer cost efficient sound playback systems:

With the introduction of BU6929FV single channel playback Hi-Fi Voice Synthesis IC ROHM

offers another even lower cost alternative to play back pre-recorded sound clips from a serial

flash ROM.

ROHM's voice synthesis ICs utilize an original compression method and a 16bit DAC core, resulting in 4 times

longer playback (compared with conventional systems) and CD-quality sound (via hardware processing). In

addition, 2-channel simultaneous playback with auto fade-in/-out is possible with the BU6930FV without placing

a burden on the CPU.

and delivered taped on reel.
