The modem includes an automatic baud rate detection feature that allows the host to start transmitting data at
any standard DTE rate from 300 bps to 230 kbps. This feature is enabled by default.
Flow Control
The modem provides both hardware and software flow control.
The network controller takes care of all modem handshaking and control. As such, Ring and Carrier Detect
are not connected.
