The calibration procedure below describes how to adjust the five major components of the fine pitch placer.

Vision Splitter (mirror) adjustment
Beam Splitter (mirrored cube) adjustment
Vision Assembly adjustment
Magnification adjustment
Lamp Position adjustment
PCB Blank, such as OK Ind. PN: 19703 and component such as OK Ind. PN:19385 (BGA-225)
Hex wrench set (must include 0.050”, 1/16”, 3/32", 7/64”)
(.050” and 3/32” wrench provided with system)
Gun Sight Calibration Assembly PN: 20066 (provided with system)
Vacuum Cup Size 0.4 PN: 19790 (provided with system)
Height Adjustment Block PN: 19993 (provided with system)
Assemble the unit as described in the users manual.
Turn power on to the unit (refer to users manual if necessary).
Loosen the beam splitter security screw (located under the arm), and using the steel knurled lever
on the right of the arm, move the beam splitter out from the arm by moving the lever forward.
Place a PCB Blank such OK PN:19703 into the board holder and position the largest component
under the beam splitter.
Adjust the illumination and the macro zoom lens to obtain a clear picture of the components full
pattern.

VISION SPLITTER (MIRROR) ADJUSTMENT
Turn the split vision adjustment knob counterclockwise until the image on the screen is not
affected by this action. Refer to DWG # 1.
Turn the split vision adjustment knob clockwise until you notice the effect of this action on the
image of the component pattern on the screen. (The two corners A & B will start to move toward
each other.) Refer to DWG # 2. Turn the knob clockwise approximately an additional 30 .
The illumination is adjusted by rotating the lower red knob on the left side of the
placement arm.
The focus on the zoom lens is adjusted by rotating the large ring located at the bottom of
