3M™ Cable Transitioning to New Halogen-Free Resin

3M is making a rapid transition from the old halogen-free resin based cables (2XXX Series) to the new
halogen-free resin (HFXXX Series) platform. The following product families are impacted by this change:
Old Halogen
Free Resin
2010/XX
2079/XX
2069/XX
2017/XX
2044/XXX
2XXX Series is available at this time for the following products with the expected transition to the new HF Series by the
end of the year.
2049/XXX
2100/XX
The new HF Series of cables have been on the market for the past several months via pre-market release
activity. The new resin exhibits higher flexibility, greater durability, and operates at a broader temperature
range. These new HF series cables are also RoHS compliant.
To date, the new HF Series of cables have been well received by initial customers.
New pricing, lead times and MOQs have been established for the new HF Series of cables.
This change is immediate and the old resin will no longer be made available for Series 2010, 2079, 2069,
2017, 2044 and for some 2100 conductor counts.
Included in this announcement are the TS Drawings for the new HF Series of cables.
