The "OPTI-STRIP" is designed for the precision

stripping of the outer plastic sheathing of opti-

cal fibres. It also performs extremely well on

PVC and PTFE insulated wires.

The tool has two spring loaded blades, the gap

between these can be very accurately adjusted

to cleanly cut the sheathing/insulation with no

damage to the fibre/wire.

Once the adjustment has been set it can be

locked to give repeatable results. In operation,

once the blades have been adjusted and set, the

fibre/wire is inserted, the tool is then rotated

and the sheath/insulation pulled off. The waste

falls through the hollow handle.
