Coding
Coding keys are used to prevent mismating of boards.
They can be inserted into the multifunctional area of
male and female connectors with a special tooling.
This can be easily done after the connectors have
been pressed in. To identify coding keys very simply
they have different bright and pre-defined RAL
colours. In the table below all colours and code
numbers in acc. to the IEC 61076-4-101 are listed.
The bold printed part numbers are preferred types
that will be used for the following applications:
